I’d consider myself an enthusiast user. I have quite a few large games on my iPhone. At last count I had nearly 30,000 images in my iCloud library and have a large amount of music on my phone. I’d put myself in the top 20% of iPhone users in terms of utility.

My storage hovers around 105gb. Offloading photos and deleting the odd game I’ve finished keeps things fresh.

My point is that I don’t think the average user, who will have a lot less data than me needs more than 128gb of storage.
