I’d get rid of my iPhone in 5 minutes if Google built a Pixel-exclusive desktop-out mode with the functionality of Samsung Dex but worked like the Pixel Tab or Pixel Fold centre display.

I think that Dex is incredibly useful but I find using a Samsung phone like pulling teeth. On their own the hardware is brilliant but there is too much Microsoft baked in to make it easy to replace everything with Google services but at the same time not enough Microsoft baked in if you want to use 365 as your backend. Google Photos edits don’t sync back to the Gallery app (and in turn Onedrive which also doesn’t seem to sync with Gallery app edits directly). If I buy a Samsung Phone I want to actively use Samsung apps but they don’t make it that easy to rely on them.

For Android I find it Pixel or nothing (although I haven’t tried Nothing!) but there is no native video out capabilities on Pixel phones.
