If there is one thing I will take away from Ted Lasso it is that Brett Goldstein is one of the greatest British comedy writers of all time and earned his place alongside the likes of John Sullivan, David Croft, Chris Morris and, when they both hadn't gone nuts Ricky Gervais and Graham Linehan.

I'm amazed the show isn't more popular on this side of the pond. It features two of our favourite national subjects: football and an underdog story. I often wonder is all the jokes land in the states because culturally they mock british subject matter.
