If you miss their sound I’d recommend tracking down Scottish rock outfit Idlewild.

They started out as a noisy (but still good) punk band once described by the press as ‘the sound of a flight of stairs falling down a flight of stairs’.

Since then they laid down the harmonies and created some brilliant music. I’d recommend checking out albums The Remote Part, Warnings/Promises and Post-Electric Blues.
