If you’re an average user like me and not a developer or power lifter then the 8/256 model is absolutely perfect.

Apple are aiming the machine at the same market as the iPad 10, iPhone 12 or the Watch SE: the average Josephine customer who just wants something decent that works. We are the same people who buy a 500E instead of a Tesla or support Belper Town instead of Manchester City.

If you’re a secret developer then chances are you need more grunt and would never buy the $599 machine anyway.
