I'm not convinced by any of the rumours as yet, mainly because everything sounds so inelegant and un-Apple. A waist mounted battery pack? Really?

I would look at next months' PSVR2 launch for a more realistic sign of what Apple might try: a Thunderbolt connected headset that works as an infinite display for any Mac with video out but also integrates an A-Series chip (It won't have room for an M-Series heatsink) for native app support.
