It does still make me wonder though why they bothered at all. Apple has no competition in the wrist computer space on their own devices. WearOS devices don’t have enough depth in their integration and still remain very niche on Android.

They could happily put the watch on a 2-year minimum upgrade cycle similar to the iPad and they would sell just as many
