It may be that DeepSeek is a fraud, a distillation of ChatGPT's open source parts built on the top of others tech.

None of this matters. Consumers aren't paying for AI. They see it as a feature and not a product.

The rest if the industry will do a better job of following Apple's lead and making AI work on-device at a personal level. They will continue to shrink and distill current LLMs and cut out centralised servers altogether.

AI will change the world but only when its as accessible and personal as a pocket calculator.
