It wasn’t always this way.

When Lollipop came out I was convinced everything was eventually going to run Android and the Google ecosystem was the answer. Then they shut down all my favourite services so I left.

In 2012 the Microsoft one was going strong. Windows Phone 8, Windows 7 PC and Xbox 360 were all intertwined with each other. Purchases worked cross-platform and Xbox Live tracked your game progress and achievements. But then they tanked Windows Phone and the Xbox One was changed from launch so I left.

Apple is currently the only ecosystem to tick all the boxes.
