It would almost have been a better game without any plot, instead becoming a more modern version of Elite allowing the payer the freedom to just play however they want. Ignoring the storyline, there are so many quests for the various factions, corporations and authorities that the Starborn parts are superfluous.

In many ways the New Game+ ruins things. Why hang around in another universe when you can keep jumping and become more powerful until….. nothing really.
