I’ve a friend who has a son who is a lovely boy but, well he’s full of beans! Anyway he’s left high school now but he knows how to strip a car, built his own forge and his own shed. He happily goes nuts with a chainsaw and has done from a young age.

He has practical engineering skills 10x any other kid his age, all self-taught and it’s because his parent let him do lots of cool, dangerous stuff from a young age.
