I've been saying this for years. Nice to see others think so too.

At this point I think a Surface Phone that consisted of the classic tile homescreen as a launcher layered over Android would drive mass adoption more than anything proprietary.

If they could get the old Nokia camera team back together they could seriously give Google a run for their money. The Lumia 1080 still takes images comparable to todays handsets.
