Looking at Apple's small print they do point out they tested a 16gb RAM model on Premier and a 216kb image in Pixelmator. Definitely massaging the stats somewhat!

But I do stand by the fact that there won't be many buying the base model who will notice. Apple are really selling it on the back of 'look: its new and shiny!' rather than being remarkably faster.
