Mark, I know you’re not that into VR but I’d recommend sinking £300 on a Quest 2. Its actually capable of operating without controllers (using a pinch-to-select gesture. I wonder where Apple got that from?) and there is even an experimental ‘reach out and touch’ mode that allows you to press, scroll and manipulate things in the space in front of you.

I don’t think any of this is very practical and I’m not yet convinced of the entertainment benefits beyond having a private TV but it does give us plebs a good idea of how the Vision Pro will work in practice. You can turn on a pass-through as well although the background is a fuzzy black and white feed.

You can output from the Quest 2 back to an external display or computer which at the very least would allow you to capture some footage for a video.
