Marvel originally made The Avengers because it had nothing left it had the rights to and wanted a piece of the pie. They laughed all the way to the bank.

But now the Avengers are gone and the best thing it has made in 4 years was X-Men ‘97.

The MCU should draw a line. Scrap all non-filmed projects and fast forward the timeline by a few years. And then start again with everybody’s favourite mutants. The potential to be mined is huge: loads of great villains and storylines from over the years.

They can even do the big tentpole movies by bringing back some of the older actors. House of M? Avengers vs X-Men?
