Microsoft can patch in all the AI it wants but it won’t solve the fundamental problems at the core of Windows 11. Desktop news nobody asked for. Two settings app for no good reason. UI elements that haven’t changed since Windows Vista.

The difference is that MacOS gets out of the way when running apps whereas Windows does its best to get in the way. There is a reason W7 is still so fondly thought of; it just sat there as a layer enabling software to interact with the hardware.

These AI features would be great in a Windows 12 that stripped the OS back to its bare bones.
