My Best Purchase of 2024? A £$40 Set of Earbuds
A kind-of review of the CMF Buds
I’ll cut to the chase here: If you’re after a warm-sounding pair of Bluetooth earbuds and are looking at anything over £$50 stop now. At a price of only £$40 the CMF Buds* are all you need. Great sound? Check. Warm, deep bass? Check. Active noise cancellation and passthrough? Check. There, I’ve saved you reading the whole article and browsing dubious no-name brands on Amazon. Don’t forget to clap!
Headphones are a weird thing to review in text. We are all unique and our hearing is no different. Trying to convey how something sounds in text is difficult but nonetheless here goes. Apple’s Airpods have been copied by nearly every company on the planet and Nothing are up. Launched as a sub-brand to deliver well-designed products to developing incomes, CMF’s earbuds are perhaps their best value product.
Available in monochrome and a lovely lairy orange tone (which I went for), £$40 or about 3,500 Rupees buys you a set of earbuds that punch well above their weight in sound quality and features. In the last few years I’ve been through several pairs of Beats, Pixel Buds and Airpods and the CMF Buds sound as good as if not better than them. With 6–8 hours battery outside the case, this would already be enough.
