My hats off to Epic for nailing the idea first time around. I’ve been a buyer since C1S3 and paying $40 a year seems like a good way to reward the developers of a game I have bled a lot of enjoyment from.

My issue however lies with the ‘pocket change’ mechanics. The EU came down on Microsoft during the early Xbox 360 days for pricing things in obtuse ‘Microsoft Points’ which always left you with change to spare, actually a mechanics designed to make you spend more money. They changed to pricing things in local currency.

I wonder why nobody has come down on Epic for the exact same business practices?
