My only bugbear, and something I would always say to anyone taking pictures is that if you camera has a viewfinder, use it!

Is it incredibly uncomfortable lying in grass with your camera as low as possible trying to get a nice long-focus image of a flower in spring? Yes! Is it easier to just flip the display out? Absolutely!

But you don’t just want to be looking at a scene, you want to be inside it. Getting down and dirty with your subject matter (in this case) really opens your eyes.

Also you get a much more stable shooting platform with your elbows by your side if you are stood up shooting.
