My point with Apple is that they actively remove value from the base model to upsell rather than treating each price point with care.

There is no reason why the base iPhone 15 does not feature VRR or a zoom lens when the equivalent priced Samsung S23 does.

If Apple did this they’d have a nice lineup of 15/Plus/Max with value at every level. The base Pro model should not exist.

It’s even more glaring when their cheapest device is designed to shame customers into spending more money on a more recent looking model. Look at the SE vs the Pixel 7a on what you get for your money.
