Nintendo's innate conservatism has proven time and again to let them weather the storm of tumultuous tech and ever changing tastes.

He doesn't seem to get mentioned alongside other luminaries of the age but the late Gunpei Yokoi and his philosophy of 'lateral thinking with withered technology' is not only the cornerstone of Nintendo's entire ethos but should be at the centre of every future product anyone releases.
