I genuinely think the best thing we can do as citizens if we want a community of like-minded individuals to share something with is to build it ourselves.

Rent some server space. Lease a URL. Learn how to build a functioning forum using phpBB. Maybe rope in a few friends just to inject the first few strands of life in there and then sit back and wait.
