Perhaps in its current form, maybe.

But the march of technological innovation hasn't really stopped in 200 years and won't any time soon. Charles H. Duell famously said in 1899 'everything that can be invented, has been' and then the 20th Century happened.

It might move in a different direction, for example focusing on environmental cleanup rather than incremental consumer products but pace will continue.
