Personally I don't see the difference between a photographer swapping out the sky in an image and an AI like Midjourney spitting out an image it has put together based on analysing a billion others.

In other words they are both fake, even if the sky was from a picture by the same author. If AI does kill off non-event professional photography we only have ourselves to blame.
