Phones are after all empty shells for their operating systems and whilst the article does shame the iPhone for being dull, it does not address the authors opinion on iOS.

If the article were about how dull Samsung devices are (a folding spoon is still a spoon) then you’d have a point about switching to a different OEM but there is only, for better or worse one manufacturer of iOS devices on the planet.

Moving all your data, notes, apps, subscriptions etc to a whole new ecosystem isn’t exactly straightforward.
