Sadly most software design isn’t geared towards problem solving. In Product Design we teach the classical research areas of ergonomics, anthropometrics and accessibility. UX design ignores these areas.

In other words software is often designed without consideration to the hardware running it, with many elements and interactions out of reach of the thumb. Unlike hardware which is set in stone, software is an infinite canvas of creativity that can be changed to anything.
