Solarpunk has been taking over Architecture for some time now. We’ve been seeing structures blend in with the forest, timber framed skyscrapers and plants cleaning up our city air. Products have had it at some level, for example Motorola and their wooden-backed phones. Making physical products and environments that make us feel closer to nature is a laudable endeavour and most welcome.
What I’d love to know though is what any of this has to do with interface design?! The most ‘solarpunk’ piece of software I can think of are videogames like Horizon or Animal Crossing. I’m not quite sure how any of that relates to the phone app design of figma 😅
