Some people say our universe exploded into existence. Some people say a deity created it. Others think it might be part of a perpetual cycle.

Regardless of how it happened we know that our universe is not infinite. But material existence, time, the laws of physics and the very matter we are made from all exist within the boundaries of it.

A creator by their nature must exist outside of those boundaries. We can imagine what it might be to exist inside and outside of a set of physical boundaries; just ask a Goldfish! But to exist outside of time? How can we comprehend that one?!

Can something physically exist outside of physics? Does a creator even inhabit a physical form as we comprehend it? Such a being would not even be made of cosmic strings. We could theorise for a lifetime; there is no way to know.

Its a deeply scientific question as much as a philosophical one but a fun one to debate. We are breadcrumbs in our slice of time, watching the loaf rise and expand in a cosmic oven. God would be the baker, watching from outside able to see every slice at once.
