I do wonder why Apple continue to copy last years' Pro with the main device when it would be easier to just keep them around.

If this year they just launched the iPhone 15 in 2 sizes but under the hood it was still a 'Pro' device they could then just lower the price of last years' handsets.

Going forward they would then only need to launch 2 devices every year which would simplify their product line and supply chains.
