Star Wars fandom is its own worst enemy. Collectively, they ruined what was supposed to be Disney's jumping off point into new characters and stories. The Force Awakens was too close to A New Hope they said so we got The Last Jedi. Oh, they went too far! said the fandom and so we got the train wreck of Skywalker.
