Thank you for your response :)
I do have some more genuine questions though:
The anti-semitism, whilst illogical (as Jesus himself preached a message of tolerance and love, even to your perceived enemies) derives itself from the gospel story of the Hebrews betraying Jesus to the Roman authorities. I was always under the impression that whilst Jesus claimed to be the messiah as in he was of God, what the Hebrews were expecting was some sort of freedom fighter to lead an uprising against the roman occupation of Israel.
The old testament has been the cause of so much confusion. I was taught that, having been slaves to Egypt for what were likely short generations, the Israelites, once free had no idea of how to function as a nation. Thus the 10 commandments and all those rules in Leviticus were basically God (or the mouthpieces of God) laying down a constitution for them to live by. They laid the foundation for what Jesus eventually taught but were never mentioned by name, only referred to as 'the law'.
As we know from our own experiences what was laid down for one generation does not often translate well to future ones. Even as a Christian I never gave much attention to the old testament rules because the first century gentile followers of christ never had them.
