The alleged 'limitations' of the iPad can be a godsend. Sure, it would be great if it had a native version of AutoCAD or GIS but it's actually better if those heavyweight apps are tethered to my desk, stuck in one location. When I'm on the road it gives me an excuse to concentrate on other tasks that are easily sidelined for project work.
