The ecosystem is brilliant and well designed but Apple are also living in a dreamland where nobody uses anything but Apple products and this isn't how the real world works.
Consider that the majority of the world's work computers run Windows and that a user might want some sort of interactions between their smart device and their work computer, plus any go-betweens.
If I use Microsoft or Google to power this, everything works pretty well. Its not hard to build your iPhone or Android as a Microoft or Google-centric experience and I can access my data via a stable and extensive cloud portal away from this.
But for Apple, this is something of an afterthought. iCloud.com is something of a joke (you can't even set a reminder anymore let alone edit a photograph) and their 'sync' software for Windows is awful.
I don't want everything on Windows or Android but some better app options and cloud backup would be nice as I have to use a Pixel 6, iPad Pro and Windows desktop.
