The flip is certainly convenient but the pocket volume remains the same. It’s big party trick doesn’t really solve and problems.

The Fold though has become the ultimate business phone. I quite like the narrow chassis (reminds me of the Nokia Communicator) and having a 7” internal display is really useful for a lot of things. The stylus enables sketching, annotation and note taking.

The Dex desktop feature has myriad uses, from connecting to a hotel TV for some emulator action to being able to show clients a presentation.

I’d love to see what Apple might do here. Perhaps build an M1 phone that runs iPadOS inside and iOS on the outside. Stage manager kicks in when connected to a display
