The iPad is an even stranger product line than the iPhone. The supposedly 'Pro' iPhones don't really have anything that should make you spend more money, they just exist to make you think you should. 90hz screen, zoom lens, slightly higher stats; all perhaps nice-to-haves but nothing that screams 'Pro' like say exclusive software features or manual camera modes.

I use the iPad Pro every day for work, primarily due to the LiDAR scanner which I use a LOT. But if I didn't need this the Air model would be all I needed if I wanted something that looked nicer but much like the iPhone, what Apple won't tell you is that the base model is actually still quite good at all sorts of 'Pro' things like video, photo editing and CAD via Shapr3D. For most users the Pro is a waste of money and the Air only really exists to make the regular iPad look inferior.

For 90% of people looking for a general purpose computer the $300 iPad is by far the best thing to buy. Its fun to use, has a bottomless pit of great apps and can be paired with some great accessories like the keyboard case. I would argue that this is in fact the best model.
