The lack of Apple Music audio support is quite jarring given iMovie has it! Currently you have to load up iTunes, remove the MP3, copy it to iCloud drive and import it from there: not exactly intuitive.

I don't use the desktop FCP but the iPad version strikes me as more of a piece of 'school project' software than someone like yourself might use.
