The NFT is an incredibly useful invention that one day will be everywhere as the backend for all sorts of data exchanges.

Take my recent passport application for my son. I have to mail (mail) in copies of birth certificates, marriage certificates etc for myself, my wife and his grandparents. Collecting this documentation is a labour in itself.

Had this all existed as NFTs on a state blockchain I could have just sorted it all in a few seconds. And thanks to Zero Knowledge exchange I could prove all the IDs without needing to even show them to anyone.

This however all relies on improving Blockchains. Currently they are pretty terrible as a data storage medium and this needs to improve.
