These are all great points but the lack of competition for the Apple Watch has meant Watch OS has become full of dead interactions and useless UX.
I would posit that the average wOS user only ever presses the side button to access Apple Pay and never uses the 'dock' function. The App Drawer is either a collection of icons without text or an A-Z list that looks like a terrible Android Launcher.
Apple could eliminate a lot of this nonsense and streamline the OS. Changing faces for example could be done via the 'long-press' interaction, freeing up the LH and RH sides of a face for something useful like a Siri list on the LH and maybe a scrollable selection of full-screen widgets on the RH.
