This is why I really enjoyed it. As well as lots of practical SFX during many of the chase sequences rather than an overuse of CGI, if you removed the smartphones and references to the internet this movie could have come out in 1989.

They really leant into 1980’s LA golden hour but damn it the cinematography wasn’t incredibly well done. They made a real effort to make it look and feel like a movie from that decade and I think that is to be lauded.
