This year I think Apple did a better job of differentiating the Pro model, to the point that we might consider the moniker less superfluous branding and more in line with the MacBooks.

With this in mind the iPhone 16 is probably the best update to the base model in quite some time. Better and more flexible cameras, PS5-gaming internals and hardware parity with the Pro line make it a better deal.

If an average user is considering the Pro line they’re finally wasting their money.
