This year the gap is even smaller. The only real difference to most people between the reg and the pro is 3x levels of optical zoom.

It would be worth waiting for a year. They didn't add any real bells and whistles to the Pro to act as a hand-me-down in 2025. This might mean something bigger is on the horizon.....
