Thoughts:

- WebApps have been part of iOS since day 1 and were at one point the only way to get anything on to the device. They didn't work well due to the GPRS web speed but still. In 2022 the best web app I can think of is Xbox Game Pass Streaming which works flawlessly.

- As an independent developer myself I am reliant on Apple's 15% cut to provide me with hosting, QA processing, an immediate link to billions of customers and API management. If my app is moderately successful I might also get a shout out on the front page which is free marketing.

- I can also self-publish directly to the Apple bookstore, again with my 'taxes' paying for hosting etc.

If you're working for another middleman I appreciate how the experience is quite different.
