Twitter is my last social network platform and the only reason I stay is because it is an invaluable link to organisations and people in the local community I might otherwise not reach....

......Or at least it used to be. I very rarely use it at all anymore, maybe just to check delays on the tram system. Maybe the time has come to pull the plug. I very nearly did when he killed Twitteriffic.

But where to go instead for some community and professional engagement? Bluesky is just very early Twitter and has no public reach. Same with Mastodon. Threads belongs to Meta. Ditto Instagram.

I might just go back to my old forum.
