Unfortunately for the job market, the picture is a lot bigger than ChatGPTs generative results.
Artificial, or rather Machine Intelligence is everywhere. Its your car telling you you're too close to the one behind. Its a phone showing you directions to a gig. Its a camera making millions of exposure calculaitons per second and its an algorithm analysing data streams from a thousand different sensors from a thousand different locations.
Machine Intelligence will upend the jobs market like never before. It won't be coming for the artists or the writers but it might be able to make a more accurate diagnosis than a doctor, get you there faster than a cab driver or analyse experiments faster than a scientist.
New jobs may arise and people might need to retrain but how is sociaety ready for a whole class of people not unemployed but irrelevent?
