Upgrading a phone these days from any brand is like buying a new washing machine and this is only a good thing. Phones have now settled into an apex design where very little actually needs to change. It says it all when the marketing accentuates the part of a phone that you stuff in a case and faces away from you!

Just as the design of a Porsche 911, a Rotary Philishave, Converse sneakers, Coca-Cola bottles or Anglepoise lamps never needs to change as they have become instantly recognisable so has the iPhone reached 'classic design' status. Long may it stay the same!
