War is an unfortunate constant for mankind. It is unlikely we will ever eradicate it because of all the lessons we learn we cannot stop being who we are. I’d love it we evolved beyond that but unless some emissaries from the planet Vulcan show up we aren’t going to.

That said we did learn important lessons from WW2; it’s why we have things like the ECHR and the UN.
