We could start with eliminating the word ‘race’ from our vocabulary. It implies that people of different hues are different species like the Vulcans and Klingons of Star Trek or the Elves and Dwarves of Lord of the Rings.

There are different nationalities and ethnicities but how can we ever have equality when we keep perpetuating the idea that we are not all human?
