Western countries clamping down on immigration means less people to do the jobs the local populace (wrongly) turn away from and one of them is care.

Costs are through the roof for private care and state-backed ones are of poor quality. This either the elderly are having to sell their houses to pay for it or the state must. And without general workers just paying natural income tax they won’t have the funds.
