What I am seeing is some knee-jerk reactions based on the actions of it’s competitors rather than a genuine attempt to lead from the front. The last genuinely innovative product from Apple was probably the 2020 iPad Pro. I might list the M1 chip but this is just a faster version of something that already exists. It’s great (really great!) but it’s not anything new.

Stage Manager and the adoption of WatchOS complications in iOS showed us that Apple has now turned to cannibalisation of its own products or pointlessly redesigning things that work fine and passing them off as new.

Innovation in the mobile space isn’t easy but at least companies like Samsung are trying something.
