What I will say is that the only time I have ever had an ecosystem of products properly work for my needs was the combo of Xbox 360/Lumia 620/Surface that I had for a few years circa. 2013. That had all sorts of clever ways to work together but Microsoft, just like Google have this habit of abruptly killing off their best products.

Since then Apple has come the closest but it’s not perfect. The Apple TV is no Xbox and neither iOS nor Android are as good as Windows Phone was.

I tried doing the whole thing with MS products recently with a Samsung phone and Windows alongside the Xbox. There was just too much patching and compromise to really make it worth the effort.
